All meetings take place on the second Monday of the month and will be held at The Parish Rooms, Plymouth Road, Tavistock (immediately to the right of the Bedford Hotel). Meetings start at 7:30pm and finish at 9:30pm. Visitors are welcome to come along to any of the programmed events (with the exception if Life Drawing) for a fee of £5 per head per evening.
Refreshments are available at 50p. Remember that, for the practical sessions (marked with ** beside the date), you should bring your own art materials if you want to participate.

Rob will introduce us to water-mixable oils whilst creating a landscape painting. He is aiming to convince the sceptics that it's a worthwhile medium.

A quirky, intuitive glass designer, whose talk will cover her ideas and designs in glass. There will be an opportunity for a few members to participate with suitable health and safety protection.

A local artist talking about her artwork and her business. She will outline the importance of preparatory sketching in creating a picture.
|11th December||Social Evening A group quiz and raffle evening, followed by mince pies and mulled wine.|

Jo makes press-free prints (mono print, offset planographic and reief prints) as part of her illustration and graphic practice. She'll show how she uses a gelli plate and there will also be an opportunity to try the technique.

They will explore the expressive possibilities of layering a range of wet and dry media to create images inspired by the experience of storms.

Nicholas will outline his artistic journey and explore how social media, particularly Instagram, can be useful to an artist. There will be some practical elements this talk.

Rebecca is a successful teacher, writer and artist. Her works include pastel pictures of animals. This evening she is going to demonstrate how to achieve movement in a drawing using pastels.
